Masters Swimming Canada (“MSC”) is currently conducting a member survey to gain a better understanding of the experience of master swimmers in Canada.

The objective of this survey is to enhance the overall experience of master swimmers in Canada, and identify further opportunities for MSC to support provincial Masters organizations.

This survey is designed to take between 10 and 20 minutes.  Your answers will be anonymous.

As at token of appreciation, MSC is prepared to offer a draw which would include free registrations for 2016 nationals, and other MSC merchandise. If you would like to take part in this draw please go here and follow the instructions.

The survey will be open until May 28, 2015.

The Toronto marathon is set for this Sunday morning (May 3)  and into the afternoon, and there will be a host of road closures and TTC diversions. As a result of this getting to the AC might be difficult and take longer than usual.

Please remember to plan ahead so that you don’t get stuck or end up late for practice. More information is available here:

Practices are cancelled on all statutory holidays.

In the evening of Friday, May 8, lifeguarding exams will be held in the Benson Pool. As a result our 7 – 9 PM practice has been cancelled, but to make up for it a morning practice will be held on the same day, 7 – 9 AM, also in the Benson Pool.

At this time the following changes to the Spring schedule are known:

• Friday, May 8: 7-9 PM practice moves to 7 – 9 AM
  
• Monday, May 18: Practice cancelled – AC closed for Victoria Day.
• Friday, June 5: 4 lanes only due to a certification course.

This year the AC will close down from Saturday through Monday of the Civic Day long weekend (August 1 through August 3) and as a result both the Sunday and the Monday practices are cancelled. The list of Summer term cancellations as of today is:

• Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day – AC closed)
• Sunday, August 2 (Civic Day weekend – AC closed)
• Monday August 3 (Civic Day weekend – AC closed

Further changes/cancellations might become neccessary throughout the term. These will be announced on this website and through the listserv as soon as such information becomes available. Please note though that in case of a last-minute cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances a timely announcement might not be possible.
