Spring 2026 Registration

Registration for the 2026 Spring term starts on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 7 AM. The Spring term starts Monday, April 27 and ends on Sunday June 21. This is followed by the Summer term, which runs from Monday, June 22nd through Thursday, August 13, which is followed by a few weeks of pool maintenance.

Registration fees and options:

  • Spring Only (April 27 – June 21) : $110.00 + HST
  • Spring/Summer Combo (April 27 – August 13): $220.00 + HST
  • Full Year (April 27, 2026 – April 2027): $610 + HST

Schedule:

The first week of the Spring term will follow the Fall/Winter schedule. As of Monday, May 4 we will switch to the Spring and Summer schedule (earlier evening practices, Thursday evening switches to Tuesday evening):

  • Sundays 10:00am-12:00pm (50m pool).
  • Mondays 7:30am-9:00am (50m pool).
  • Tuesdays 7:00pm-9:00pm (50m Pool).
  • Wednesdays 7:30am-9:00am (50m pool).
  • Fridays 7:00pm-9:00pm (35yd pool).

A Summer Only option will be available at a later date.

UTMS at 3rd Ted Roach Memorial Meet – Alderwood, January 26, 2025

This past Sunday, January 26, 2025, seven of us went with one of our coaches to compete in the 3rd Ted Roach Memorial SCY Meet (48th Alderwood Teddy Bares Meet), held every year at the Alderwood pool in Etobicoke.. This is the longest running Masters meet in Ontario, sanctioned by Masters Swimming Ontario (MSO), and the only 25 yards meet.

This meet was fun with each of us racing in 2 to 5 individual events. Our club also had two relay teams – women’s 4 by 50 medley relay and mixed 4 by 50 medley relay. Our club’s results can be viewed here.

Stephen Forsey Invitational Meet – 2019

The Stephen Forsey Invitational Meet, which has been organized by the Thornhill Masters Aquatic Club for the past 7 years, was held this past Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Markham Pan Am Centre pool.

TMU was represented by six swimmers (5 of whom are shown in the picture) ranging in age from 24 to 81. Meet results are posted on the MSO website at this link.

Nationals – Calgary 2018

A few weeks ago TMU member Damra Camat attended the Canadian Masters Swimming Championships in Calgary (May 19 – 21, 2018) as the sole representative of our club.

The meet was very well organized and there were swimmers from all over Canada, a bunch even from the United States!

Damra competed in the 800m freestyle and won the silver medal in her age group. She finished 4th place in all of the rest of her events:

  • 400m freestyle
  • 100m breaststroke
  • 50m breaststroke

Damra started swimming a year ago in May 2017 and joined TMU in the fall. The meet was a huge success for her, in only her first year with TMU.

Worlds – Montreal 2014

TMU was represented at the 15th Fina World Masters Championships 2014 in Montreal by 8 members along with coach Angela. Results are available here.
